Hey fellas, in this article I’m gonna introduce you to a few of my favourite crystals/stones and their in lithotherapy and withcraft. This is the first artcile of a pretty long serie, so if you want an explanation about a specific crystal that I didn’t mention here, hit me up in the comments 🙂
Lithotherapy uses: The malachite is used in make up for its hability to heal eye infections, it’s also used to relieve pain and ease childbirth, she has anti-inflammatory and anti-spasmodic properties ( rhenal pain,ostheoarthritis, colic…), she also has calming effects on the anxious and the insomniacs. That’s a list of the uses I deemed important because she has many more others and it would take me a whole artcile to finish them 🙂
Magickal uses: For it’s wonderful color, the Malachite has been associated with many gods, namely Hator, the egyptian goddess of fertility and her roman equivalent, Junon. She is the prime choice for protecting the weak mainly, worn in bracelets by the children and pregnant women, but also by warriors. She is deemed favorable to those who speak in public.
Lithotherapy uses: Higly recommanded to help the body fight viruses, get rid of toxines, lheal a sprain or a migraine. She is also used to treat depression and nightmares, just pick a turquoise necklace to be at peace.
Magickal uses: Persian legend states that these crystals are made of the bones of those died of unhappy love. So Turquoise is the crystal of happiness, she is almost always associated with goddess of love in ancient civilizations. Amongst her properties is to bring peace, take anger away, brings positive influence and energy thus her use with depression and nightmares. A Turquoise amulet is a totem of good luck, preserves your health and is a powerful protection for horses and riders.She also change colors when you’re ill.
Lithotherapy uses: It’s a stone of balance and repair, very effective to treat kidneys, she controls the water in the body thus she is very useful for the bladder and the digestive system. She also relieves menstrual cramps, strenghtens the skin and the throat, fastens hair growth and many others. In the Roman era, she is used to treat snake bites.
Magickal uses: During the Bronze era, she symbolizes perfection, a symbole of power, associated with Isis, Venus, Nuit and Maat. She was said to carry the soul of deitis thus she helps her carrier create a connection betwen the mortal and celestial plane. It’s a stone of meditation, creativity and dream work. She is known to attract spiritual love and enhance fidelity in a marriage.
Lithotherapy uses: The citrine is beneficial to the digestif system, it also confers energy and vigour on the body and aids in the regeneration of cells. She lessens stress and panic, brings lucidity and openness.
Magickal uses: In Ancient Egypt, she is known to calm the goddess Sekhmet, feared daughter of Râ, it was said to bring her peace and the gift to heal, turning her into Bastet, sweet goddess of homes. She is also worn by the perfect hero in Greek mythology, Chiron son of Chronos.The Citrine is the emblematic stone of Apollo, god of Light, medecine and music. She is known to aid with a difficult karma, enhances creativity, helps in scrying and with money rituals.
